About
I became fascinated with scrimshaw around 25 years ago and have mostly dabbled in it for about 20 of those years. Seems like there were other things like work, family, and the usual etc… other things that seem to sort of “get in the way” of the fun things. Of course, all those things were higher up on the priority list, but there always seems to come a time when, you try to focus and minimize distractions. I guess “true” artists, born to the art (so to speak), manage to get that focus going a lot sooner, but I take the position that it’s never too late to start concentrating.
“If you learn something new today, then it’s a Good day.” That applies to everything. Period.
So this site is just a way of trying to do a little self-promotion, and as it develops and I can manage to find some new pictures that I’ve forgotten where I stored them, I hope it provides some entertainment to anyone who stumbles upon it, or somehow gets directed (?) here.
